Default EXAMPLE: cracked PSA holder & card swapped

I noticed the 'frosting' on this one immediately and upon closer inspection it does appear to have been cracked open along the bottom of the holder. On the back, there appears to be a crack perpendicular to the edge, going inward, suggesting maybe it was pried open.

The cert number is active and does have a prior sale in 2018 that also shows damage to the holder, although it was pretty well hidden.

I couldn't find a prior image of this holder, so I can't say with certainty that the card was swapped.

PSA cert# 17278778 is active:

past sale in 2018 = cracked slab

I don't know for sure if the card is authentic or not.

The card currently on Ebay is either fake or an even poorer copy of the original PSA 1.

Original PSA 1 card with cert #17278778:

Different card with same cert number on Ebay:

I will pass this on to auburn35 and he can direct this to PSA and get the cert # deactivated.

Good eye towerymt!

Pinhole right through the crotch. Someone did that intentionally.

Nice teamwork. I did pass the info along to psa. Hopefully the right person will see and flag the listing, even if it doesn't reach the authenticity price level.

While you are at it Auburn - here are some more.
One of my customers at the Philly show almost got duped into buying this Jordan. It's on facebook in Buffalo and the price seemed too good to be true, so I told him to pull up the image on PSA's site and see if they looked the same.

It is being sold with these other two which I assume have also been switched out, but didn't check.

Looking for Andre Dawson Serial numbered cards that are his jersey number - either #8 or #10. So looking for cards like 8/8 or 08/99 or 10/250.

It doesn't even fit inside the holder properly.

Everyone looking for a deal. Easy marks.

I'll pass this along.
Very similar to some fakes I found for sale in California.

Moved from facebook in Buffalo, to Craigslist in Maryland/Virginia. Also, has started to conceal the psa certs.
The fake Mantle and Star 101 are still available, now with a "PSA 9" 1986 Fleer and "PSA 10" Pokemon.

Classic description.

I asked for the cert for the fleer jordan. Curious if it will be a different (active) cert, or the same inactive one.

I asked on 10/10, reply on 10/16 provided a list of available cards. I asked again for the cert, got this on 10/17 (just found it in spam folder today):

26026170

It's this one:
https://www.psacard.com/cert/26026170

Currently listed on ebay:
https://ebay.com/itm/156458084813

As always, beware the CL scammers.

Anything of interest among the other items on their list, or just more of the items already called out?

For some reason, psa hasn't utilized that "counterfeit deactivation" on the last couple of fake Star 101's.

This copy, already shared in the thread is still active.

Here's another fake floating around CL.
