Anyone know anything about this guy outside of stats? Just pulled this and am wondering if I should hold or sell now. If nothing else he has an interesting signature...

He is listed at 148 lbs! He might be the lightest guy in affiliated ball projecting as what folks sought in middle infielders in the previous millennium.

He did receive a $2M+ signing bonus at 16 years old out of Cuba. However, he doesn't seem to be on the fast track since he played complex ball in 2019 and 2021.

He's a switch-hitter with good feel for the barrel and the strike zone from both sides of the plate.

A well-above-average runner, Vargas stole 15 bags in his 48-game pro debut and can be disruptive on the bases. His feet and hands are very quick, allowing him to get to balls many shortstops can't and to unload his throws in a hurry. His solid arm strength and good internal clock also enhance his ability to make plays.

Probably will be moved or traded as the Yankees seem to believe Volpe is their shortstop of the future.

This sums it up. I've read he is believed to have the skills to play SS in the majors right now. So high risk high reward type guy. If he can learn to hit than he's probably a star but that's the biggest IF a position player can have.

If you can get a decent price then I say sell or wait till spring training 2021. If you don't need the money then hold and see what happens.
