Default any potential for 2012 crusade gold prizms?

2012 was a big year for many reasons, Very strong dual rookie class.

debuts of such products as prizm, flawless, immaculate.

I always enjoyed the crusade inserts, because well they're shiny and have the regal design with the dragons of lions or whatever the hell those are. (reminds me of buying graphic tee designs at express in 2007...what a summer) i've always been a sucker for regal designs, think 2005 exquisite with the fleur de lis etc. Anyway, i've picked up a few crusade golds /10 over the years, no huge names or anything, but they're dirt cheap. But just like anything else i tire of things and was wondering if anyone thinks these really ever have any potential down the line. can't really compare them to prizm as prizm is king for the shiny type stuff. But when jose calderon pulls $1500+ it makes you think about the gap. I also think it has to do with the crusades technically being inserts rather than part of the base set which i think hurts its appeal. Not much of a pump here, more so curiosity as i only have a few of these, just want to get takes.

Just wondering if i'm the only one that thinks about this?

I think they look like a very nice set to collect. The gold, red, purple. blue and green give it the possibility for collectors to get a single player and I personally like collecting the refractors of a set.

As for the pump I don't think much is there. The Beal went for 300 and an Earl Clark for 2... Maybe they come out sometime, but I don't think it happens.

I sold my 10 select gold harden a few months ago for 2kish.

If you like the set collect it. I think it looks decent; but the market doesn't always follow what looks appealing/hype to some as opposed to others.

the beal i saw on there was actually what prompted me to ask this question, i don't own a beal or any rookie of this for that matter, but what would a beal gold prizm go for? 5-10k? more? thats what got me thinking about this disparity

Value is there. PSA 10 Prizm Base Beal PSA sells for the same as the PSA Crusade Gold? I will take the gold all day. I collect several gold sets from this year not named Prizm.

Disparity and scarcity can drive up value. Don't omit variety. People get priced out, and suddenly a new market sector booms.

Who would have thought that 1996 Topps Jordan Season's Best cards would be 3 figures raw? Many Jordan insert fans didn't buy them when they were around $10 3 years ago.

There are too many sets and parallels that make it confusing. There is a complete set, insert sets than the different colors.

I'd agree with this. I mean rare is rare, gold is gold. Time will tell I suppose.

There are alot of variations I'll give that, but so does prizm year in and year out, like I said above, time will tell.
