Default 2022 Wimbledon

Who's watching?
No crazy upsets so far. Serena put up more of a fight than I thought she would. Think her days of winning majors are over though.

Hoping for a good showing from my boy Joker and Raducanu.

Hard for me to remember two top-3 seeds being weaker going in than Kontaveit on the women's side and Ruud on the men's side.

Novak looks good.

Welp. Raducanu out. Was hoping she'd do well with the home crowd

I'll give a villain some love.. Let's go Kyrgios! He's always had elite talent, hoping he can finally get out of his own way mentally.

Women's draw is completely wide open now. Bodosa halep or jabeur are now the favorites.

Was just going to say that. No idea how it ends up at this point. Just like the last major. They're so damn inconsistent.

Don't want to jinx him but Joker has a pretty easy trip to the finals right now with Alcaraz losing.

It makes me laugh to hear John McEnroe be critical of Kyrgios....not that he's wrong, but consider the source.

I was thinking that as well last night. Doesn't excuse what Kyrgios was doing but the shock of McEnroe was pretty entertaining. IT"S HURTING OUR SPORT!

And now it comes out that he has to go to court next month for assaulting his girlfriend. Awesome.

Joker came up clutch today. Had me worried after dropping the first two sets.

Will be interesting after that 5 setter if Nadal can turn around and be in good enough shape to beat Kyrgios. He's clearly in some pain and discomfort, but he seems to be the ultimate competitor. It will only take about 1 set for Kyrgios to be furious with Nadal's slow play, and frankly I don't blame him. For someone who is an all time great, I think it's painful to watch Nadal fidget for 10 seconds before every serve.

Even my wife was saying, can't he find some shorts/underwear that fit?!?

He hasn't faced anyone with a serve like Kyrgios. I just don't think Kyrgios is mentally tough enough to beat him though.

I've been watching and really been enjoying it. Have always been a passive/casual follower but am looking to get into tennis more.

Ugh. Was looking forward to that match. What a shame.

Agreed. Joker's to lose.

I do feel bad for Fritz. Obviously Nadal didn't know how he'd feel today but if there was any doubt, I wish he withdrew yesterday so Fritz could at least have a shot. Hate to see Kyrgios get a free ride to the finals. Can't stand that guy.

Joker in the finals. Should be interesting. He's never won a set off of Kyrgios. Hopefully this time is different.

Well... that women's final was underwhelming. Nobody stepped up, just a lot of unforced errors. I like both players but rybakina has a 1 hit wonder feel

There just wasn't anyone in the women's side that really looked like they took control this year. Came down to who made more errors, not who won.
