I love A&G but I feel at times I am in the minority these days versus the majority.

The Stanton wood mini looks nice. I’ll be in on my fair share of woods when the time comes. Like this a lot More than the 2017 design.

Agreed. Archives offers something different at least by allowing fan favorite players who almost never have autographs in sets to sign, and on rarely/never used designs. Ginter has been the same near identical design for 13 years now and is starting to embarass itself with some of the "celebrities" and "sports icons" it includes in the checklist.

I still love A&G. I'll be in for a case, but have a feeling Ohtani will have those presale prices starting at 1500. If that's the case, I'm out (like Bowman).

Ginter is tough to profit from (for me at least) but is the break I look forward to most. It's also the only set I collect. I like the eclectic subjects and the interesting card types like Rips and wood cards and the lovely framed autos. It's just a set that appeals to me, although Heritage is gaining ground.
Last year was rough in terms of market depreciation at release. It was not a particularly good design, but the hot box addition was a breath of fresh air. It was discussed on these boards quite a bit that they needed to nix the glossy 1/1's for something more dramatic - a superfractor or something really chaseworthy. No one cares about the glossies and it sucks to see that the preview doesn't really propose any changes. The sunken treasures set will be the hot insert this year and hopefully there are some other cool chase cards and the return of the case hit mini. People on these boards seem to underestimate how popular this set is in my opinion. |

One of my favorite products every year. Love the minis, but I know a lot do not.
To me, and I must be in the minority here, is twenty times better than flagship Topps. IMO flagship is complete junk and Ginter makes things interesting with different autos and chases within the product. People ask for creativity, and Topps brings us this product every year and doesn’t fail to disappoint me. It is made to somewhat resemble the original product, but evolve over time, and I think they have done a great job with that. Like I said, probably in the minority, but it is what it is.
