Since it's not really a B&N auto book, let's have a separate thread to talk about this release.

Right now it's hitting $500 and gaining steam.

If the auto is proven to be authentic, does it hit $1K?

If the auto is an autopen/secretarial/stamp/signed by Luka's mom...what does the value fall to? Less than $300?

Also, what companies are shipping them out now? My Bam orders are on their way. How about everyone else?

I mentioned in the other thread, but I have seen/heard of instances where Amazon cancelled orders of multiple books.

Perhaps multiple orders from one account is being canceled. If you just ordered one, you are good? Maybe...

Booo.. my Target order got canceled. I see these holding value but not something that will double or triple. Obviously anything other than a true sig will drop. He's already has two previous books and there will probably be another, just like Bush, Clinton, etc.

This book is only the first volume of at least two - it's all part of that ginormous book deal he and Michelle signed a ways back.

My local Barnes & Noble was able to reserve a copy for me since I had a B&N membership. Might be worth calling; my store only was getting three in.

Oddly enough, I didn't even ask to reserve one. I just called to see if they were getting any, and they offered to reserve one for me. I wasn't sure if I wanted to drop $350 on one.

Ok, looks like everything is settling down at $600-$650 (there was an $899 sale, but that's an anomaly!).

Here is my prediction:

12/1- Flippers start flipping and prices crash to around $450ish each

12/2- Flippers are done, new buyers come in and prices creep up to $500 as people see how limited these are

12/3 and beyond- TBD based on the auto...who's going to open the book first to see?

Real auto= $700-$800 easy

Fake auto= $350...maybe.

Thoughts?

For sure! You don't have to be a flipper to be concerned about re-sale value.

I'm concerned about next week, next month, next year, etc. I'm new to the presidential autograph-world so all this is unchartered territory for me. Excited to learn more and analyze the price-trends.

Let's see what the rest of the week looks like.
