Default Forget Card Values.. Who is the Biggest Star in 5 years (currently under 27) ???

The purpose of this Thread is to see who the Forum considers will be the BIGGEST STAR in the game who is currently 27 or under and has already shown what he can do.. (No prospects)

Consider: Talent/Team/Championships/Marketing/Age-Experience/Likeability/Injury concerns/Dedication, etc

Card Values can be discussed for fun, but your selection shouldn't be based on this.

I think Soto is going to be the best player, but Tatis, Jr. will be the biggest star.

If you didn't have the no prospects caveat, I'd add Wander, JRod, or maybe Kumar Rocker as the biggest star (the intersection of performance and personality)

Soto's star will be bigger than them all...

This could be.. good prediction.

probably Soto contributes the most to his team and gets many awards, but Tatis Jr could very well be a bigger star based on other factors.
exactly the purpose of the thread..

I recently did a Prospects poll (not including Wander as he was kind of obvious) and it was split between Jo Adell + Jrod.. then a notch below was Marco Luciano and a bit lower Kristian Robinson

I voted for Vlad. I think Soto has the best chance of being in Vlad company, Tatis is a stud but he won't be in the Soto/Vlad conversation.

If he manages to have his weight under control, watch out!
Its a tough task, but I believe he has the right people supporting him

definitely seems like Tatis is being pushed as the next MLB superstar.

after him is some combination of Soto, Acuna, and J-Rod.

Since Tatis, Soto, and Vlad are the obvious ones...

I’m going to throw in Gleyber. Yea his defense is poop but if he slides over and plays an average 2B, the kid has MVP potential.

Great Question.. in my opinion Soto/Acuna with Tatis on pace to pass them.

Braves/Padres trending in the right direction.. Nationals not so much. which is a something to consider, but then again Mike Trout plays for who? hehe

Different players/times so who knows how much a teams success will play into Star Potential for these guys in 5 years..

I was going to add Randy, but we only got to really see him in the Playoffs.. if I could add 5 more players he would have been there

Would be great if Tatis/Acuna/Soto all keep raking in 5 years

Card Wise I hope your right with Gleyber
here is a player that because of his Team can reach high levels of Stardoms if things line up for him

I would vote for Corey Seager. Only 26, if he hits like he did in the post season, could definitely be a multiple MVP winner.

I still believe in Acuna, with Tatis behind him. Y'all think Acuna is gonna fall off... his star is just beginning to rise. I have a crystal ball that tells me so. Give me another full season. Stay healthy Ronnie.

Im with you on this.. Plus looks to me like the MLB wants to make him a SUPERSTAR. Didn't have a great short season yet he got the Silver Slugger Award..

+ A couple of days ago one of the MLB network Analysts voted for him as the best Overall OF... and also in another segment they were talking about the best power Swings and showed: Trout,Acuna,Betts,Eloy Jimenez

If Ohtani's arm stays attached to his body, he could easily break a couple dozen records and be the face of baseball, even if it's as a closer/batter. That however carries many conditional statements.

Like most, I think Soto has the best combination of personality and ability. He's one of those guys where you expect some type of unique expression from him whether he strikes out, walks, or homers. He's always analyzing during ABs and you can see his thought process on his face - he's just incredibly fun to watch. Tatis is less disciplined and will strike out at a pitch well outside the zone and is less fun to watch on an every at-bat basis That said, he is electrifying and will clearly own the more highlight reels with the glove.

I think much of it weighs on health and spotlight appearances (playoffs) and that's also a split between the two. If Soto had a better supporting cast, I'd take Soto 100% - very unlikely he flop in the playoffs if given another chance. Jury is out on Tatis in the playoff department.

Acuna would be a strong contender if he was able to use/learn a bit more English. An early 20s kid from Venezuela who is learning a new culture and hitting bombs is a lot more digestable than a man in his late 20s who's been here 5-7 years and can't form a grammatically correct sentence. Would be awesome if he learns/improves from here, but there are a lot of latin american players that just don't bother. I hope he does.

Lots of $$$ to be made if Ohtani bounces back.. he is in my opinion an above avg hitter, so who knows what he could become.

I think its between Bellinger and Tatis Jr as far as superstar. Those two guy are likely to impact the young crowd that MLB needs. Bellinger already has all the awards and Championship. Dude was also in a popular video game as a character. Tatis Jr has the X-Factor.

Soto and Acuna will be stars and tear it up but I dont see the marketing angle that they need for them to go next level.

Gave my vote to Belly.

Already has an MVP and a ring, probably going to add more rings.

In the second biggest media market on one of the legacy MLB teams.

And, he's handsome.

I really like Robert's raw talent. There is 40/40 stuff in there, and the Sox are trending in the right direction as well. But, if I recall, he doesn't speak English very well. Thats not going to help his marketability.

Im quite Surprised Bellinger doesn't get more attention. He seems to have pretty much everything needed to be a Superstar, but lags behind whenever people talk about Superstars. Not sure what has to happen for him to take the next level, and now Mookie in town makes it a bit tougher
