Default Barry Sanders 1997 PMG green on eBay...

Monster card - hate seeing it in the screw down :/ Hope it doesn’t get yanked early - love to see where this ends.

What a card! Doubt it’ll be in my price range, but it will provide an interesting baseline price if the auction ends without shilling.

Already jumped up $1,100 since I posted my comment. Recent eBay sales show a Sanders Red /135 sold for $2,484. Crazy.

Well, that will sell for all the world’s money, as it should. Good luck to anybody bidding on this one.

I remember when key pmg greens could be had for like 200-400 only a few years ago.

Please excuse my ignorance, but why are these so sought after?

That escalated quickly.

Not sure if the owner even knew the magnitude of card they had on their hands. Based on their selling history and current auctions, looks like they were collecting at just the right time.

He said card went from pack to the holder. Depending when he pulled the card, it may not come away unscathed from that holder. I can see the surface being stuck.

Luckily eBay offers a 25 year return policy.

If any moisture got trapped between those 2 bricks, that's going to be a tragedy for the ages when it's separated.

Big concern of mine too. Hate the idea that it would have issues.

I can’t believe where it is at already. I wonder if the omg green a Rice that sold recently via BIN was legit?

I'd be scared as the devil to de-sandwhich the card myself if I was the seller. But I'd be equally scared of a possible refund damage request coming from a buyer.

This can happen with autographs as well, I bought a Mahomes Prizm Scope Auto from a guy in a mag and when I removed it a tiny dot of the ink in the autograph stayed stuck to the holder.

Yep. Super scary. The inside coating on these holders can have a very sticky effect on the card when left in place over time.

2+ decades? Eesh. Best of luck to the seller and whoever decides to take a chance over 3k.

I think if I owned it I might just leave it in there and let it be a Schrödinger's Barry existing in both a damaged and undamaged state.
