Default New Ebay Return Policy for Trading Cards - Effective July 29th

https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/e...policy?id=4210

3 day return window for "no return" listings, down from 30 days.

Has to be a net positive move for Sellers, especially with Managed Payments taking away the Paypal 180 day return window.

Great news for those with remorseful buyers…because their purchases went down in price or their kid bid or both lol

"If the seller doesn't offer returns, the buyer must request a return no later than 3 calendar days after the estimated or actual delivery date"

Really like that. Anyone who thinks this might cut down on purchases, well, yeah it should since it should hopefully weed out people looking to just cause trouble.

Amazing. This will definitely help weed out a lot of the people who return due to remorse or price change.

Great news for sellers, not so good for buyers like me who buy a lot of things and sometimes dont get to the post office box everyday...Prefect example would be a Rice rookie I just bought seller said it was in PERFECT shape and should be graded I paid a good amount more for it based on his pictures and his comments however when I got it is had a crease right down the center of the card and bent corners, definitely not the card in the picture or even close . I didnt check the card out until I had it for 5 days, so I would not have been able to return it...Personally from a buyers side I think 3 days might now be enough time...I run a business and this is a hobby for me so I might not check everything once it comes in ( unless it is a high end Jordan card then I am like a kid waiting by the mail box) Just my thoughts I do think this is a good idea but think that 3 days is not much...Mail comes in on Friday to a PO Box you pick it up on Tuesday and now you can not return because more than 3 days past.

Filter on only those who accept returns?

Won’t really affect me as I’ve rarely ever made a return. But that said I think 7 days would have been a more reasonable amount of time.

Now that I think about it, I wonder how this affects delivery to 3rd party mailboxes like COMC mailbox. Comc sometimes doesn't send an email with the package contents until after a few days. So what if you need to open a return due to the seller sending an empty package, and you only got an email of the package contents 4~5 days after delivery? Would you still be able to get your money back if you get an empty package?

Or maybe this doesn't matter because I believe I read somewhere that deliveries to third party mailboxes were never covered by money back anyways?

Does it even matter though? Buyers could go through PayPal and make the same excuses.

Isn't Paypal now a thing of the past with eBay though?

As a buyer you can still pay thru paypal, however as a seller, your payments are no longer tied to paypal. Its direct thru ebay now

Don't think so, believe you can just find the transaction in paypal and start a dispute through there.

Those who know how to game the system will continue to do so,
There will be more paypal and credit card disputes now.

Disputing with your credit card too often can't be a good thing long term.

Another thing we'll probably see is people waiting until the very last possible moment to pay just to extend that window.
