Default Beckett Article - 2001 Topps Archives Autographs Set

Hello everyone,

Hope you are well.

It's Kevin Glew here, a longtime hobby writer.

I'm writing an article about the 2001 Topps Baseball Archives Autographs set for an upcoming issue.

Does anyone out there collect this set?

If yes, I would love to interview you for the article.

You can respond to this thread or drop me an email message at kevin.glew@sympatico.ca

Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

Kevin

The 2001 topps heritage autograph set is more iconic.

I don't, you need to reach out to "nmmtplus" on IG...I think he does the set....

I do have an interesting story..... in 05; my dad, a police officer, had a buddy who needed help selling things. This is in the early ebay days, when not everyone knew 'how'. He came home with an 05 throwback threads game used Ruth jersey w/ pinstripe. I was blown away and got me back into this hobby.

In return for selling the card, and maybe a few other items, from what my dad told me, the guy gave him an 01 Ichiro base rookie and an 01 Topps Arhives HANK AARON on card auto (based of his rookie).

I come to find out years later the significance of the card, and that it was short printed to 50. Also come to find out the guy worked at Topps.

So maybe it was a card he stole or was given at topps. Unfortunately, i sold it years back for a good sum of money....

I beg to differ. 2001 Archives SP autos are iconic.

Thanks for the info on the collector. Thank you also for sharing that story. That Aaron card would've been fantastic.

Here are scans of the Aaron if you want them for your article. I have scans of the Rizzuto in my Ebay store too.

Odd seeing you making a post that isn't about pack searching.

2001 Heritage is a great set, but the number of signed classic rookies in the archives is unmatched and more difficult to complete.
