Default 2000 Upper Deck Pros & Prospects Signature Jerseys

2000 Upper Deck Pros & Prospects Signature Jerseys

Hi
I was thinking about buying a box of these. I saw someone else's post on their KG card had to be redeemed back in the day. Does anyone know exactly which players needed to be redeemed? Did all of them need to be redeemed? Id hate to blow money in search of a player only to find out I only have the redemption card to show for it.

It honestly blows my mind these trading card companies dont hold these cards in a vault until someone sends in for the redemption

Thank you

Kevin Garnett doesn't appear to be a redemption per the Checklist.

How can you tell? Because it says "inserted?"

I only ask because I saw ila reddit thread where someone poster the KG from this set and said it was there first card they ever redeemed.

Also, I emailed upper deck and got a response, saying its possible there are redemption cards in this set. I asked for more specifics but they never responded

I did a little research and couldn't find any evidence to suggest Garnett was a redemption but it has been 25 years, so there isn't much information out there. I did find out that Damon Stoudamire was a redemption

https://ebay.us/m/lLWk7l

Well this penny is confirmed as redemption, which isnt comforting

From the seller
"I did, when I was 11 years old. After looking at it, it's not a redemption as its got the congrats on the back so I wasn't exactly sure how to list it. I think it was just never signed by AH or completed by Upper deck (no jersey). Not sure what to make of it but going through all my cards was a blast"

That’s what Upper Deck’s redemptions looked like back in the day. Not sure why the seller doesn’t think it’s one.

Thats weird. How would they add the jersey then? I would think the card would get the swatch when its built and then the sig.
