Addison Russell Domestic Abuse

This is not going to turn out well for Addison Russell if his wife decides to cooperate with MLB. If what she is saying is true I don’t want to see him in a Cubs uniform again or any uniform for that matter! It’s a heartbreaking read.

While I feel awful for her, more woman bringing abuse to light is necessary. Of course they'll be neanderthals who attack her, then ask why women don't come forward sooner. I hope this gets a full mlb investigation

I'm glad that we, as a society are making domestic violence and sexual assault more unacceptable and less tolerable.

I'm not happy that there are cases where the allegations are used as a weapon.

I hope there is an investigation and this is handled properly.

I'm nat saying abuse is defensible in any way shape or form, but on the other hand it is all too easy to defame someone with unconfirmed accusations. It wouldn't be the first time someone fabricated a story for some sort of personal vengeance or gain. This sorted business of accusatory stories of famous people the last few years has really tried me out to the point where all I want to do is shut off the news feeds.

Right. When people are accused it seems like most times it’s been proven true. Only few I can think of is James Franco fighting his which haven’t been proven and some tv star from 20 years ago fighting with nothing proven.

The lady needs to go to law enforcement, law enforcement needs to investigate it, if the claims of physical abuse are confirmed, then jail Addison Russell.

Once its reported to the police, then make your social media post.

I'm not sure what you think she gains from telling her story... If anything she cost herself money with child support since he likely won't be getting as big of a contract. So I don't think she is telling her story to "gain" anything.

And why do the stories of famous people doing bad things bother you? You can't believe that they aren't as perfect as you hoped they were?

I would think it's pretty tough to investigate physical abuse claims a year or 2 later.

You are only proving my point. Sounds like you have already found Addison guilty, with little to no facts.

All it took was a blog post or Instagram comment. How easy. Not a court decision, not a police report. No need to prove anything and Addison is already guilty in the public eye.

Don't be dense. While i agree it is likely she is telling the truth, my only point is that people are all too often too quick to jump to conclusions.

She gains all kinds of people bashing her and sometimes even threatening her. Real slice of heaven she gains there.

I'm not assuming everything she's saying is true but man this response is tired. All publicity is not good publicity in this case. I doubt she wants it, which is why she probably wouldn't cooperate with mlb the first time. Like I said, who knows if everything she says is true, but I agree with the poster above that if there's this much smoke there's usually fire.

That’s funny you say that. We were watching Ozark last night and I said “everyone seems to be doing something wrong in this show. Something illegal and wrong to other people”. My wife says “don’t you think a lot of people have issues and problems we don’t know about? Lots of bad people out there”.
