Default eBay Vault Question’s

I’m really thinking of sending my graded cards to there vault. It will save me so many headaches and I’m fine with this. But how is the transaction process and how long does it take.I do have another question is how do they determine the value.I clearly have some graded cards that are worth more then $350.00.Then I have some that won’t make the threshold value. Can I just say that the card is worth 350 or do they check average sale prices.Another reason I simply just want them around the house at this point. So many things can go wrong and with there vault my assets are safe.

You’re probably going to want to ask eBay these questions. Not going to find more than a couple people here who are using it.

Not to hijack a thread, but since I have a question that relates to the Ebay Vault as well, I figure I will add it here. I am trying to understand the sales tax ramifications of buying a card on Ebay, sending to the Vault and later requesting the item be shipped to my home. If I am understanding correctly, upon purchasing let's say a $20K card on Ebay, I can request it be shipped to Ebay Vault, and I would only be responsible for the $20K + shipping fees. No sales tax would be added vs if I had it shipped to my house. Is this correct?

Now, let's say two years later I want to display the $20K card in my home. I can request Ebay send me the card. There is a $50 "fee" + the cost of insured shipping that Ebay will charge. My question is, will they also collect sales tax from the original purchase, or is it my responsibility to file with my state the necessary tax documentation (ie what Ebay used to be like before the law required them to collect sales tax)? I am just trying to understand how taxes are collected and work in this context.

I have 3 cards in the vault and while the scans are beautiful, all 3 are mislabeled, so the value tracker doesn't work. I can't edit the descriptions in the vault and I don't know if it I would be able to upon listing them from the vault.

Yes, you would have to pay sales tax upon physically receiving the cards (I think some states call it an excise tax). I think the only way to avoid sales tax is to list it from the vault. Maybe someone else can confirm that.

Apparently you can’t just send in your cards from the house. They have to be sold threw eBay and the the seller sends them to get Authenticated. Then the next step would be to they get sent to the vault.I learn this the other day when I spoke to them threw online chat.
