Was it 799 last year direct from Panini? Either way, don't care about the rookies but may try to snag a black velocity of my PC players or maybe even a case hit SSP PHOTON.

Have seen about a dozen boxes opened and all of them were horrible.

Optic was $900 last year and $1200 two years ago.

Degenerate gambler breaker boi finally realizing that paying high for breaks and reselling the best rookie bass for $5-$10 isn’t very fun.

Investor box flipper bois realizing it’s not as easy to buy for $600 and flip two weeks later for $800.

What happened to everyone’s money?

Must be basketball off-season……..

Doing month end, mind-numbing data reviews for a couple hundred patients so I have Layton on in the background.

The data review is less of a buzz kill than if I were buying into these breaks.

Reading their live chat is good entertainment at least. I almost feel bad for some of their customers.

Not an exciting product at all from what I've seen so far. If you've liked it the last year or two, you'll probably like it again. The price is just really hard to stomach. I made a video a couple nights ago discussing my early impressions

The bottom falling out of the graded market for low end RCs has crushed any hope of these being good breaks. It made slightly more sense when you could turn every decent RC into a 3 figure PSA 10, now it makes 0 sense. Box pricing still hasn't caught up.

What's the Deal with the 75 years of NBA. One says optic one says prizm on it but in the optic boxes are they SP?

Panini screwed up and put the wrong cards in the wrong packs. Essentially just swapped. Not SP by any means. Get them in the dollar box if you like them.

Just my opinion, but Optic inserts suck this year -- very basic and bland designs. Last year had a rehash of 2019 inserts -- remixed versions of Splash, T-Minus and Raining 3s. Panini didn't even seem to try to make quality inserts this year.

I think 2019 Optic had pretty good inserts -- made collecting inserts fun again.

It's sad what's happening to trading card quality.

IMO the only thing going for Optic in basketball is the on card autos for those wanting the rookies. These are an absolute better choice over ANY "flagship" prizm sticker auto of them.

Which would you prefer to collect?

*granted looks like cade got sloppy with that auto, tis a shame lol... Everything else is just like others have said, rehashed bland product. No spark or wow factor that would really make a collector want to chase after anything within the product. Panini did a better job with Optic football this past year vs the basketball product. Oh well.

Funny, I was actually thinking how I dug the Prizm designs this year compared to years past. Yet, Optic does remain underrated.

Just wanted to post an interesting observation on the SSP Photons - I've seen now many copies of DeMar DeRozan with a unique "white" photon as opposed to the regular "red" version.

I can only assume it's an oddball print error specific to DeMar, as he's the only one I've seen like this - but it also seems strange that so many of these have shown up already (there's currently 4 listed on eBay and 1 has been sold already, and they are all white)

Looks like all non base versions are affected, which is why you see so many.
