Default Are Green and Blue Refractor still interchangeable?

I always thought BCP Green and Blue Refactors were interchangeable value-wise. Has that changed?

It seems like people are leaning on the blues. Or is it just a player-specific thing?

Since Greens as of late have been lower #’d they’ve had an ever so slight edge

Blue is a classic refractor color which will normally have a high value. Blue, gold, orange, and red.

Two differing opinions right off the bat.

The blue definitely has better eye appeal. But as more colors continue to pop up people are adding green as a standard color with a lower SN # I feel like. I think it’s player dependent and also the look matters. They normally are interchangeable though maybe with green having a slight edge overall

Player and team dependent for sure. Dodgers blue gem BC Cody Bellinger for instance, recent sales show $2800-$3200. Green gem: $2400,2450,$2000. That’s the biggest disparity I’ve seen. Seems to be that way for all Dodgers where both are available even though the /150 & /99 difference.

Seems to me that blue consistently goes for more than green, especially in bowman products where green is retail exclusive.

Yankees fan here, I prefer Blue for my PC. However, on the whole, I value them equally. I wonder if A's players will collect a premium for their Greens (that is, assuming there enough A's collectors in the hobby to create a premium).

If it’s not a purple shimmer, I don’t want it!

With the 2019 release, greens are way down against blues. Maybe people are taking the green & green shimmer as one lump of green?

I think we aren’t too far from seeing some sort of correction on greens, as they’ll be pegged as highly undervalued with a lot of potential by keen buyers/investors. As time goes on, the market in the future will see a serial number and possibly place more value on the Green than Blue.

Also, with Green being Retail exclusive, there’s a good chance that the full print run never even see the light of day. If pop reports have Blues outnumbering Greens 3:1, you can bet that Greens will carry a premium in the future. Presents a tremendous buying opportunity in my opinion and I’ve been gobbling up green autos of key players personally.

Green and blue have never been equal.

It’s all subjective. If you’re trying to sell it, put it a price you are comfortable with. It doesn’t matter if it’s blue or green. I would make sure that you research the player to get an idea of how much hype he has.
