Default eBay Purchase - No teambag or tape

This is how a card for my Jarrett Allen PC arrived today in the bubble mailer. Luckily it wasn't damaged too bad. Just a weird bow on one of the corners. I didn't pay much for it but it will be tough to get another because it is a Gold Prizm. What would you guys do?

The good news is you should be able to flatten out that bow. I would definitely message the seller and let them know that their shipping methods aren't quite up to par and offer a suggestion for the future. You can do that in a nice way. Sometimes sellers just need a little guidance. Then again, some sellers are just cheap and lazy.

Excellent pickup also. The Gold Prizms this year look really good. The gold really pops, which isn't always the case.

Wow, that's unfortunate. Looks like he did go to the trouble of reinforcing it with the cardboard though so I don't think he anticipated the card would slip out. It was in a top loader, right?

Everyone should buy a roll of painters tape for a couple bucks. It will last months and make all your customers happy!

This is the correct answer.

Disgusting. Gold prizm too? How can people afford to rip this kind of product and not afford penny sleeves and toploaders?

I have had more buyers complain about tape of any kind including painters tape than I ever had for not using it. Using card savers also makes the chances of it moving around less.

Yup Gold Prizm. It was in a penny sleeve and toploader. The card slipped out at some point during it's journey.

I'm not thrilled but there are no creases or damage other than the weird bow so it should be okay.

Agree. Packaged thousands of cards with painters tape and never had one complaint!

Tape is always a must. Surprised some haven't figured this out yet. I'm not too thrilled about some using scotch tape which damages the toploader, but it's much better than nothing.

Anybody complaining about painters tape is an idiot.

Fold the end around onto itself so it creates a kind of pull tab and is then easy to remove - shouldn't be any more complaints.

Agreed. It peels off with no residue left behind. What's there to complain about?

I use a team bag instead of any tape.....it seals the top so that the card can't slip out and it gives the buyer a clean top loader. I tape the team bag to the inside of a PWE for inexpensive shipping, or to a piece of cardboard for padded envelope shipping. I am leaning towards switching over to card savers instead of top loaders, but haven't made the switch yet.

Some buyers just like to complain about anything they can. Have had them complain because the mailer was reused. Because the label was crooked. Had one on a PWE say he did not get it because I misspelled his name on the envelope.(figure that one out.)

lol! Like a mail carrier has ever cared about delivering a piece of mail to an address because the name wasn't right. Every address I've ever lived I've continued to get mail for people who haven't lived at that address in years. The people who previously owned my house died like 5 years ago, we bought the house from their son, and we still get mail addressed to the old owners.

Anyone complaining about anything is an idiot if the card arrives in the right condition. Buy a pair of scissors or a utility knife. Buy your own toploader, sleeves, magnetics, etc. I just need the card to get here. I’ll do the rest.

Point was how would he know I misspelled his name if he never got the item..

Just DM Buynicecards on eBay and see how much he charges to fix cards and send the seller the bill.
