Default Show off your favorite pickups of 2017!

Come on, let’s see what everyone’s favorite pickups were of this year. Preferably 5 or so but i wouldn’t be disappointed to see 10-20.

For a long time I had been wanting to add a higher-end Manning rookie to my collection. Was extremely happy with this pick up.

Peyton Manning 1998 SPx Finite Radiance 32/50

This is the only Robert Mathis card I'm aware of with his autograph and a game-worn NFL Shield patch. Love this card!

2014 Topps Museum Collection Robert Mathis Pro Bowl Signatures Swatches Dual Relic Autographs Emerald Pro Bowl Patch 1/1

Have been working on my Marvin Harrison 90's PC and was lucky enough to pick up this iconic 90's card of his.

1998 Fleer Briliants Marvin Harrison 24K Gold 21/24

Have always been a fan of Donruss Elite Status die-cuts. After watching this card on eBay for a long time, and many offers going back and forth with seller, I was finally able to land it.

2012 Panini Elite Andrew Luck Rookie Elite Status 08/12

I know it isn't a football card but this is arguably my favorite pick up of the entire year. Dean Smith is a sports legend and being able to land such a short-print auto of his was amazing. Go HEELS!

Not the highest end cards from the past year, but for sure the ones I was most excited to add.

-Red Refractor /10 - Major card back in the day, thrilled to add it to the Marshall collection

-I saw this card at the AC national and loved it, sadly I thought the asking price was too high, so I was on the look out for it ever since. Finally popped up on ebay, so a year later, my nationals pick up.

-Always a card I wanted in the PC

It the hobby is about making money, probably picking up some Jimmy G Chrome Refractor PSA 10 RCs for like $20.

But as far as what I actually care about, it would be each of the 2005 Chrome "Anniversary" /100 refractors I've been able to pick up this year. Still have about 20 or so to go to complete the four sets.

I did most of my 2017 budgetary damage in basketball,* but a few solid football additions along the way. As always, thanks to all who share, except for Adam, if he's even man enough to show his face in this thread.

*We already had a year-end thread in basketball, so not posting in yours over there, boss.

Wish I could afford to splurge on some Cam's but I've started building my Carolina collection this past year and have gotten some great deals.

Worth the wait. Those are so tough and expensive compared to similar cards.
