Thumbs up Q: Does COMC.com Listing On Ebay Lower Overall Card Values?

Q: Does the recent addition of COMC.com card inventory 'supply' on Ebay lower the overall card prices of your collection?

No, because people would buy them up if they are listed cheap.

Funny just bought 13 cards, so like anything there are some things listed for more than their worth and some at good prices.

Never bought anything on ebay from them. Only issue would be whether they combine shipping on ebay like they do from their site.

Most that I have seen are priced above market value with $4 shipping to boot!

Market value is market value. If something is priced right it will sell. If it is priced too high it probably won't.

They do - you need to load them into your cart to have it work. That being said, you'll save at least .25 per card by buying on site and in a lot of cases, the cards are available at a discount with a lot of sellers.

I bought a card from COMC on Ebay, was too expensive-ish BUT I had Ebay bucks to blow and thus it cost me nothing. Ebay Bucks affects the value of cards!

You are much better purchasing them on COMC than on eBay. There is an extra quarter per card added to combine shipping on eBay that is not added on the website. Plus, if you keep the cards in your COMC inventory and ship 100 in a month, they give you $5 store credit the following month.

Plus, you can still go to COMC and make an offer.

Yes and No.

Yes, it brings down the cost on base cards because it offers up more supply and forces prices down. I'm thinking of scenarios when I guy gets hot in the playoffs and his Chrome prospect card will triple in price. Because COMC has there stock on Ebay there are more options for the buyer.

No, on more expensive cards because there is always demand for them and things like shipping matter less the more money is involved.
