Last night I sold the 2nd most expensive card I had on the site: a 1998 Pacific Ripken /20. It sold on ebay so I got full value for it. Today I sold the most expensive card I had on there. Using that money to help fund my NASCAR PC pickups. Sales aside from those 2 have been ok, but not great. I am mostly buying for my PC and local show selling with a few flips thrown in. Overall, sales have been great this month: 50% higher than my previous high thanks to the cards mentioned about and 1 other big one. Having fresh inventory and recently marked down prices have also helped.

Something to consider: there are some cards on my watch list that have been on there for a long time and the prices have not changed at all. Most are way over market but are on my list nonetheless. Is it possible that the sellers have passed away? A bit cringey to think about but a definite possibility.

I mention this possibility probably annually. There are definitely dead accounts. Sad thing is there's no way to list a beneficiary on their site to pass your account down to. So make sure to include it in your will.

That old rebate only incentivized me to round up my purchases to the next $5 credit. My sales are good this year but I'm more aggressive than most. I don't have enough inventory to crack that Top 20 list. Maybe next year but the fee increase does remove some cards from submission consideration.

Just a single other card that sold to someone else. That´s less than 0.5% total.
Either I collect the wrong cards or the cards I collect are stuck with the wrong "sellers". (What do you call a seller that doesn´t make sales, anyway?)

Also, my somewhat tongue-in-cheek take on the flipper debate:
There´s different types of flippers obviously, only some of which I deem "problematic" though.

a) The 15-hours-per-day-constantly-refreshing-newly listed items-type. aka. the literal flipping junkie that seems to get off on no one else getting deals.
If you got the time, I guess it´s fine...just seems unhealthy to me. If they re-list close to market I´ll buy from them occasionally.

b) The "musssst fliiiiip everrrrrything"-type, which is kind of a variation of the above, except they tend to buy cards even at face value.
Then re-list them at 4 times market for no rational reason, just to sit on a port of 100k cards a few year later.
(as an added bonus then come here to complain about their perceived(!) lack of sales)

c) The really aggressive/annoying one´s. Example: Watch monday night football, hear Aikman call player X "one of the top-3 young position Y players right now".
Set your timer to 25 seconds for incoming 50% off offers on their already underpriced RC auto/patches. Decline just to get another 45% off offer.
I mean, yeah but no, that´s why I´ve been prospecting him for a year now and I got a TV, too you know.

Svetlov are you calling me out? (I know your not) lol I don't think I fit into a) b) or c) but there are some partial truths in there. If anything is cheap enough I'll try to flip it sure. I stick to the ultra low end though so I don't think I'd ever mess with anyone's PCs. I've defiantly purchased things off you though.

Nah, I wouldn´t. You´re the opposite in fact and I´m glad I make sales to you. That´s basically how I do it, too mostly. In a couple different tiers, if you will.
If I see an auto card at 80 cents that´s worth a dollar, I´ll buy it, price it at 90 and take the 5 cents, knowing in advance it will sell within the hour, to one of the same of 3 or 4 people.
What I refered to as "problematic" are those that buy that same card at .80, re-price at $2.5 and then carry it for several years (or eternity more likely)
If I by chance see a 30 cent serial #d card I´ll buy it and reprice it at ~35 cents, knowing either you or one or two others will buy it. (I´m in simplified mode so it probably looks like 10 cents to you?)
I´m gonna estimate I make 20 to 40 of these flips per week when I´m active and never carry more than 5 to 10 cards most of the time, or for more than 12 hours.
Edit: Then I turn around and use that marginal profit as a buffer to justify PC-buys that I think are overpriced otherwise

It actually went to 85% - I think it was the Spring Cleaning sale - I msg'd the board here about it AFTER I had my fill lol. I think they sold too much too fast or hit their quota because it got shut off within a couple days

Personal update that I´m sure no one cares about:

Don´t know what to call it other than a bizarre twist of Karma... (a total coincidence)
This morning someone added a bunch of obscure 1970´s bubble gum issued cards/stickers from Finland.
Three of which had been on my wantlist ever since the mid 90´s.
I had previously never even seen a picture of any of these sets, let alone the one player I needed from each.
I´ll reverse my sentiment: best week of the year, no question!

Finally hit 100 items purchased in addition to the 35 I had previously to justify the shipment expense. Had a $5 shipping voucher from some other COMC snafu I forgot about. It's gonna be a while in spite of getting it in before the end of week rush:

For me luck or Karma has not been on my side so far. My best week of the year has been the week before this sale. Best buys and the greatest number of cards.

This sale appears to be the same as the last few years. One or two good buys and most the same as during the year buys along with a couple of cards I over paid. I still have some time to turn it around if sellers help me out.
