I am not sure I would need to look into that and ask.

Can you PM me some examples that you have so I can take a look?

How long is it currently taking for received packages from customers to be opened and compared to the order checklist, then assigned to a group?

Mail should be opened same day it arrives. All subs should be out within five business of being received in the office.

So I have a question about shipment back to me. Has me kind of worried too. I was supposed to receive 2 orders back yesterday and both had same tracking number. I only received one of the orders and package was not tampered with. Were both packages supposed to have same tracking number? I emailed last night but just the contact us on main page. Is there a different email I should use?

Very sorry to hear that the other submission was not in the package. You can reply right to that tracking email to get to GroupSubs directly. I also found and forwarded them your email from the contact form so they can help get this resolved ASAP.

Appreciate everything you guys do, but PSA needs a lot of improvement. A submission that goes into assembly 8/6 should not still be in assembly 09/12

I believe it was temporarily but it has been fixed. Sorry for any inconveniences anyone experienced during the downtime.

125 total orders in process!!!??? Wow, seriously, is that a record for you guys? Seems like multiple times what you were doing in the past. I'm sure PSA's endless bottlenecks have something to do with it.

My question is: as one of their larger submitters, have they given your company any reassurances recently on how they are dealing with their increasing backlogs in what suddenly seems like a very hot time in the hobby again?

We send A LOT out. I don't personally have any specific word, but they are always working to improve turnaround times. There are more cards being graded than ever. Just look at some of the grading trends.

The roi on Pokemon is beyond belief. You can turn a $10 card into a 3-500 card very fast with a 10. If you are grading to make money and not learning the Pokemon market you are leaving money on the table.

But what cards? I see holos, reverse holos, pokeball holos for like $1, each box seems to have 1 decent hit max??? It seems people are just submitting every card for grading for some reason...

There are some dollar cards. Look at the new holo from celebrations. It is a $5 card. Last PSA 10 sold for $800. Low pop. Was a bulk card. I left sports 2 years ago.

In the past we had literally thousands of orders at psa. At the peak of the backlog we had 6 figures of cards in their facility.

What types of reassurances?

Thousands of ORDERS??? Really. How many cards per order, like 10 or 20? I always assumed you guys did massive orders of several hundred cards each.

Reassurances? I don't know, like letting their bigger customers know they are hiring more graders or something to handle the slowdown and backlog? Or some sort of acknowledgement that they know about their grading inconsistencies and that they are training better to avoid TCG graders and Ultra Modern graders from applying the same standards they use to grade that stuff as they do to older Topps cards from the 2000s and early.

I guess I'm just curious if they are in touch with you at all about their bottlenecks and other problems.

At peak we had multiple hundreds of thousands of cards at PSA. We were sending in 10-12k per week for a good amount of months peaking at 30,000 in the last week of February 2021.

Yes they are opening grading centers, scaling and hiring all the time. I talk to Ryan and Nat regularly.
