Maybe it's just me, but I'd much rather spend $100 on a box of physical cards. If Topps server gets wiped/cleared, you're SOL.
I get the appeal for those who need to buy some cards non-stop, or don't have a local store, this gives variety, but I think it's nuts how much people spend on these digital cards. All it's going to do is hurt the real card industry even more, and have them cut back production more and more each year. Just like digital comics is hurting local comic shops.
