A couple examples:
2018 Prizm Gold. It's the best Gold to get if you don't want to drop $400k+ to try to convince someone with a 2017 Gold to sell.
2017 Encased Noble Nicknames: This is a card that one of my friends, who doesn't even collect football much, needed to have just because it was a unique card.
You can't find either of these cards readily available on any platform. So when they do pop up, they're likely going to some collector's long term PC.

That’s more or less what I was getting at. The point where any of his cards/rookies just get bought up at wild prices
