The reason they don't have better action images is because they aren't sports card collectors. Give any sports card collector the power and they'll pick the most iconic images. It'd be a no-brainer, so the fact that Topps doesn't do this tells you they have no brain.

Nailed it right on the head bro. Blows my mind since Topps
used to have iconic images on their cards. To me, with continuous improvement even minutely acknowledged, the player images should get better year after year. Sadly it's just not the case.
Another thing that blows my mind is somebody at Panini had the initiative to create Photogenic, which highlights great images of the players. How can they produce that set and then go right after that producing cards with trash images?
