This is where to me MVP awards get murky at least IMO. I don't think Mahomes racking up numbers should suddenly mean he is the MVP. What Baker has done without his best guys so far should be above numbers if this keeps going. And yes I know it's early. Also I'm not saying Mahomes is not an MVP type player.

Those are very good, but not runaway MVP numbers on stats alone. But what sets his apart is how he's been playing winning football, and the team is 5-1, and he has 4 game winning drives.

Yeah, Baker's #1 currently if we're going by straight up 'who's played the best thus far with no qualifiers.'
But we all know bookies are heavily weighted towards historical performance so they're showing they have much lower faith in his continued season dominance vs. a guy that's already done it twice.
Their upcoming game vs. Detroit (who themselves will be looking to avenge last week's ass whooping) will be interesting.
