I believe this is the case for a while. But I would guess that in a couple decades, when people are looking back trying to complete runs (like so many of us do with 90s cards), low print run unnumbered cards will become ghosts and will command a premium. It reminds me of the 1999 Prism retail reds. Nobody cared for them back then. But now people pay absurd money for them to complete their runs. It's those things that get overlooked in the present, that tend to gain traction in the future, because they don't get preserved, but are hard to find. They get lost in a sea of unnumbered parallels now. But one day, people will start to realize how hard they are to find, and that will drive demand.
