I can’t compare Ohtani to Ruth. One played prior to anyone I know that’s still alive. The other plays in an era where the team nutritionist can make more money (time value of money factored) than the highest paid player in the other era. I saw skinny Bonds play. And I saw roided Bonds play. But nothing compares to Ohtani. Being a pitcher with ace stuff every six days displays more talent than playing “mid” outfield to me. I won’t argue if you disagree. It’s just a matter of opinion. But Ohtani is the all around GOAT of my lifetime. Ruth was the GOAT of my great Grandfather’s lifetime. And Bonds is the GOAT hitter of all time. There’s room on this GOAT boat for more than one.
