UFC was at its peak when you could catch a Fight Night just scrolling through channels or a TUF. UFC’s crackdown awhile back on illegal streaming as well as streaming in bars etc without the insane fees has definitely affected popularity as well. There’s also no stars, casuals knew Jon Jones, McGregor, Ronda, Holly Holm, if you’re not a UFC fan I doubt you could name one champion right now.
I think it will be akin to boxing purses keep going up and a lot of money is made on big fights but anyone being realistic will say it’s not on people’s tongues the way it was during the Tyson era for example

The Tyson era will never be replicated as that was a lightning in a bottle type scenario with a generational talent. He was the Heavyweight champion at 20 years old and was knocking nearly everyone in part because of his mediocre competition but that’s neither here nor there.
