Oof, sounds like I got pretty luck with my hobby box. Although I haven't checked the base to see what collation was like yet. I don't REMEMBER seeing any duplicates though.
The poor collation is really the biggest problem to me. This is one of the few products I open anymore at post covid prices. Everything else is just not worth it as a set builder. And if they screw up collation so badly, even flagship becomes not worth it. Luckily I have about 9 5000ct boxes of incomplete sets I need to finish from previous years, so I can still enjoy trading with people for that if all else fails
