I find it very strange that the Big 10 and SEC are insisting on 4 automatic bids for each of them in the upcoming 16-team playoff.
Even if there were no automatic bids beyond conference champ, I cannot imagine a situation where each conference wasn't able to put at least 4 teams each into the dance.
If we use this past season as an example, the SEC would have had 6 teams (and the same 4 from the Big 10).
Anyways.... 94 days to Texas-OSU.
