That's what happens when Boone overuses Weaver. You have to go to Williams and he clearly doesn't have his closer mentality this year. He's been great lately in the other innings, but when you put him in a save opportunity, he is going to pieces.  |
Yes he really didn’t need to use him in the 5-1 game. Williams no matter what team he is facing has a mental block about the 9th inning.
