Mahomes is Curry. More artistic than physical, changed the game in the way they play their role, none like them previously.

Allen is Lebron. More physical than artistic, fits a previous archetype but does it maybe better than anyone before, bigger/stronger than everyone before them.

Way more likely to see Allen just drained the on the sideline from dominating all game throwing + running. Rarely see Mahomes winded on the sidelines.

Obviously Allen needs some SBs to really be considered LeBron, but the way they play the game and their impact is similar. Just like Mahomes and Curry, but Mahomes has the SBs like Curry has rings.
In some ways it's a shame that Delta (who I have blocked so I only see when people quote him) has kind of pitted Allen vs. Mahomes here. We live in such a black and white world and people often feel forced to choose one or the other, when he reality is usually much more gray. Josh Allen is a BEAST. He is fun to watch, makes amazing plays, is currently playing the best football of his career, is guiding a very scary offense, and -as you said - just leaves it all on the field every time. If the Chiefs don't win it this year, I would be happy for Josh who seems like a genuinely good dude. I think most of us football fans agree that Josh is great and is playing out of his mind right now. No need for us to pit one against the other.

If I hadn't seen Mahomes and the Chiefs literally break the hearts of every team in the Playoffs who was supposed to beat them, I would be terrified of the Bills in the playoffs this year. Heck, let's be honest, I am terrified of them, even though I know history shows I should not be.

Last night was a perfect example. You get the ball with 5 mins left down 1, drain the clock to 1 second, and let your kicker make the chip shot FG. This 'luck' narrative doesn't hold up last night. Luck would be if the 31 yard FG hit the upright and clinked out.

I keep bringing this up: Mahomes now has 7 game winning drives this season. That's past the point of luck... it's excellent situational football.
Again...not either or. It can be both. Look, it wasn't lucky that the Chiefs blocked a field goal to win a game as that takes great skill. It wasn't lucky that they got a PI call against the Bengals, because it WAS PI. At the same time, we can say it was lucky that Aidan O'Connell completely crapped the bed and missed a snap. It WAS lucky that the terrible kick last night bounced in, instead of out. I don't know what the statistics are, but I'd bet the number of field goals that hit the post and bounce out far exceeds the ones that bounce in. It was a horrible kick, and the Chiefs were fortunate/lucky it went there way.

Again, people want to make it black or white - they are "lucky" or they're not. It's both. Mahomes is a machine. He is the Terminator in the 4th quarter, especially on final possessions. That is NOT luck. He has a gear that just a handful of players we've ever seen have. He still doesn't get enough credit, which is mind blowing. But the Chiefs absolutely could be 8-5 if a few things didn't go their way, and that's okay.

Side note: we really really need the bye week in the Playoffs. Having an early bye week SUCKED. I hope we can finish strong.
