And then keep in mind that the Hill case, while the impetus, was not all that MLB was looking into. That was merely one of a few incidents that MLB investigated.
The DV policy gives Manfred a wide path for suspension. He used it. Bauer used his path to appeal. He'll forfeit his next 50 MLB game payroll to complete his suspension, should he make it back into the league.
Regardless, Bauer has been free to sign with any team...and no team has taken the bait, nor has any credible information come out about any MLB interest.

I don't know what details I'm missing... I have strictly been calling out the hypocrisy of Manfred and the MLB, when it comes to this type of cases.
