Not even close. I was a card collector starting in 79 and the Star release was exciting after a period of no basketball cards. And you had the 18 month gap until fleer came out so 101 was THE Jordan rookie during that period as it was his only RC card to exist.


It was exciting to see the fleer cards get released in 86 however, those didn’t feel like rookie cards after that time gap. The star cards felt much more so.
