G-Rod definitely feels like a phantom IL move to open a roster spot for means and give him a quick breather with Means and Bradish both coming back, as well Irvin and Dean throwing the ball well as of late. Hopefully that's all that move really is.
He has had a below average xfip for a reliever once since 2018 and his postseason numbers are even worse.... He is not a reliable option for a team with high aspirations.
