More importantly, one of the best chances he has for a huge pump in near future would be having a big post season, in the post season he will only face elite arms, if these games happen they will likely be the last thing in people’s mind heading j to the offseason and have a decent impact on his prices

It also means there is an element of luck to his overall results. Take for example today, he had one of his best games of the year (despite the 3 Ks). It lets be honest if ohtani doesn’t leave with arm soreness who thinks he’s not going 0-4 with 3 Ks.
Yet here you are shining a big light on yourself as an Elly hater along with a few others. I don’t have a dog in this fight, but I do find it odd that yourself and a few others go to great lengths to find metrics on him - BA against weak pitchers, strong pitchers, hypotheticals vs Nolan Ryan, Walter Johnson, Warren Spahn…

What is the point of constantly posting negative stuff about Elly and why Elly? What about Volpe and his batting .214 this year. What is the breakdown of his AB’s against weak pitchers, pitchers on their period, Cy Young award winners.

Seems a little petty and childish to bag on a 21 year old kid from the DR who has played what 90 games or so in the big leagues, and even when he goes 2-5 with a HR and 6 RBI you have reasons it should not count. Surely you don’t have that much free time to be looking up geeky stats so you can justify bashing Elly right?
