I told him I am OK with him failing or not playing well as long as he is out there trying. He has to practice to get better. All the kids missed pretty easy balls. I praised him for cheering people on and encouraging his teammates. Rough night overall. We didn't get home until 930pm. I drank a beer in the shower.

That sucks. They should have a a varsity and JV team if they have enough kids. JV has always been more for learning and improving.
