This is my crazy theory about the last three weeks. I remember that shortly before Celtics traded Romeo and Schroeder, they played them A LOT. And their record was doldrums. I think that the Pacers were doing something similar with Myles, giving him a showcase as a leader, so that his fair market value could be assessed.

I think that despite the 1-10 record without Ty, Pacers executives breathed a sigh of relief. He is clearly not the guy you pin a team around and now he is gonna really be able to settle in as a role player under Ty, alongside Aaron, TJ and Ben, without thinking "I could lead the Hawks and make $5 million more."

Speaking of which, did anyone notice Nesmith fouling Ja as he went up to the rim in exactly the same way as he had been fouled 15 minutes earlier? The refs didn't call a flagrant, just a common foul as a result. Message: don't try and take me out or it might be your guy next.
