90% of people who collect games still don't give a what about how pristine the seal is, but to be fair neither does wata

If you are going to buy sealed and want appreciation you are generally better off buying something from the 6th or 7th gen of games, something that still has meat on the bone and will/has a great chance of appreciating in the coming years assuming you are picking the right titles

RPG's, Survival Horror and Shmups genres tend to appreciate assuming the game is well loved or has steadily increasing/exploding fanbase ala Souls games, in this vein earlier games with sequels tend to do well as long as popularity is maintained

Rare games/low print runs also can run up fairly quickly but the hype can quickly cloud things
Came to say this (but Pumpndumpling put it in better words than I would have). So much fraud and shilling in that market, but if its something you want at a price you're OK with - grab it!
