Look at the stupid triple logoman for instance. You can get game used Lebron jerseys from all 3 teams he played for for 1/10th what that is going for.
For whatever reason people prefer the cards to the real thing. Some of it might have to do with storage and display, who knows.

You're saying vs "an authenticated jersey" where I'm saying an actual x-wing from episode IV is akin to a historically significant piece of memorabilia, not just any old jersey / bat / or glove. Would people want a card or say Jordan's shoes from game 6 in 98?
