I'm fully in the Zion bandwagon, but:

He had a Jones stress fracture (type II or III) of his right 5th metatarsal bone. This is a concerning injury with a high recurrence rate - about 1 out of 3 NBA players who have had this type of surgery required a second surgery at some point.

Some players with multiple Jones fractures ended up fine (Durant), and others didn't (Big Baby Davis). The prognosis is variable and depends on a lot of factors; weight being one of them.

I don't care about card sales (I see some of you have some nice Zion cards for sale in your eBay stores), but I do care about the person, big Z. After all the flak he's caught recently, I think that he'll at least figure the weight issue out. His skills never went away - it's his foot and the Pelicans that I'm most suspicious of at this point.
