I think that even cards that aren't notorious for condition sensitivity will see stickers coming in to play. Variability in grading is becoming a bigger topic of discussion as big sales garner ever more scrutiny.
I think that once you cross a certain dollar threshold ($100K, call it?), buyers will start seeking out fourth-party reviewed cards and placing a premium on them.
