The problem is the card market - with Mahomes as the poster child, rubs people the wrong way. It’s like 4-5 Super Bowls are built in to current prices. What if he never goes back? That’s a lot of dough for a guy who’s only won one. Disproportionate, in my opinion, even for speculation prices.

Absolutely spot-on.
Is Mahomes already great? Possibly.
But an All-Time Great? Well his cards are certainly priced that way already, as if he's a future 6 time Super-Bowl winner and first-ballot HOF'er.
