JMarchand - Thank you, I'll look into Barron's. That's good to know I actually have some semblance of a strategy. I did notice that though with most of my investments thus far (I just sold stock in Home Depot and PayPal as an example) that they may rise a bit but there aren't the big jumps like some of you have had.
I guess I'm just a little nervous about losing my money until I can make enough to withdraw my initial investment and still have something from which to rebuild. I'm investing with extra money that I had saved but always nice to turn a profit, I guess.
Josh - Thank you for the info about IBD. I'll take a look at that one too and see if it would be worth a subscription. I'm on eTrade right now. They seem to have some solid info and screeners but it's just a lot to process.
I guess it would do me well to figure out what I'm really after as far as research and to read a glossary of stock terminology more closely so I'm not flying blind quite as much.

Don't concern yourself with the big jumps. Big jumps on companies like PYPL and HD really only happen around earnings. However, you will still be generally be in an ok spot to watch them steadily rise between earnings.
