I don't disagree.

It may seem radical to some, but the best way to get people off of unemployment lines is to employ them. It's better to get "free money" and feel like you're still part of your company and have some semblance of a "future" by being employed, rather than on the dole with no future.

For us, PPP kept our employees employed (or rehired), when PPP ran out, we laid off some employees. It was highly flawed and slanted, but it had some temporary success.
