Comprehension is lacking here.
I've followed AD from the start. I know how good he is. He should have done a bit more at NO. Dude needs to learn to play through his broken fingernail issue that turns up almost every game, I think he's been a lot better with that this season.
My post was in no way saying he's not amazing. I would say his situation is a little like KG with the Wolves, who got an MVP and dragged that team to some solid seasons and peaked in a Conference Finals.

AD's absolutely a superstar, but I think his situation right now is perfect because he finally has that 1a guy to command the offense and truly compliment his skillset. Also, some of those Pelicans squads were absolute garbage. It pained me to watch them because of DFS.

I agree with pretty much all of this. I just think he had plenty of squads he should have done better with. Also, the way he just dogged it last season was poor.
I give him an incredible chance at Finals MVP if he wants it. And yes, I'm all in on the Lakers winning this season. And probably next. And maybe the next.
They will be very hard to stop. And AD is in his prime now. It's gonna be a crazy ride for them.
