I've heard lots of people comment comparing these to beanie babies....As someone who sold these from the beginning of 96 till the market collapsed in late 99 the comparison is totally night and day
First these sell for 48 hours only (Sometimes Topps adds a few hours extra but not much more).....The vast majority of the beanie babies (Excluding some of the first year 1995 that got retired) were produced in the millions
I got most of my inventory from many Hallmark locations and even had the chance to obtain a good batch from a distributor in Chicago (Home of the company Ty) and had the opportunity to visit one of his warehouses and i was blown away at the cases and cases of these stacked to the ceiling in a warehouse nearly the size of Soldier Field (And he had several warehouses just like this one around the world)
Now don't get me wrong....There might come a day when the market bottoms out or drops off on these but to compare these cards that at this time are printed in limited quantity to stuffed beanbag toys of various animals that were produced in the millions stored in football stadium sized warehouses might be stretching a bit.....Again just my 2 cents...Carry on
