The idea that we are woefully unprepared because the federal government let us down is just a terrible slant. This will be a health event that is managed at the local level, supervised at the state level, and supported at the Federal level.

If this was truly spreading like wildfire we'd also have alot more deaths by now. Let's see where we stand next weekend.
you realize that without an adequate number of tests then the numbers can't boom?

And I'd say it going from less than 100 cases a week ago to what, about 450 right now when we've only tested maybe a little over 2,000 people (honestly not sure of the exact number, but i know 2 days ago it was something around 1,800) is a significant increase that can't be dismissed.

Also, you have to give it at least 2-3 weeks, not just one week, since the incubation period can be 2 full weeks before showing any symptoms, so people who may have caught it this week may not show any symptoms for another 2 weeks as is. So with the significant spread that has happened this week, there is a very legitimate and real chance the boom in known cases is still 2 full weeks away.

I'd also hope that we don't see the boom because people have been much smarter and more cautious over this past week, and if that is the case, it doesn't change the fact that the administration was not properly prepared for this.

End result doesn't justify initial response, if I shoot someone and they don't die, it doesn't mean I didn't try to kill them.
