It's almost as if you didn't read my post. "Doing the right thing" was in quotes for a reason. Steve understands that when you're running a business it isn't about who is right, it's about what the perception is going to be afterward. Right or wrong, the easiest and most cost-efficient (and cost-beneficial) move was what he did.

No, everyone who doesn't get cards won't get a box half off for all the reasons I stated in my previous post. It seems pretty straight-forward. The odds are this is a unique event.
