Regardless of whether or not Lewis got lucky, he won. Ngannou was supposed to be "the guy," but he also lost to Lewis in probably the worst fight ever. DC has no control over that. He fought a Derrick Lewis on a three fight win streak, which is significant at HW. He' KO'd Stipe in the first. How can DC be hiding from a guy he fought and KO'd in the first round? He fought Rumble Johnson twice and finished him twice. Rumble was the scariest fighter on the roster when he was still active.

The idea that Jon or DC have ever been protected is absurd. They both have incredible resumes. I give weight to DC winning titles in multiple divisions, actually defending the HW title successfully, which a lot of these multi-division champs never do, and he also won the Strikeforce HW Grand Prix, which is historically pretty significant looking back on it. Plus the whole never failed a drug test vs. 2x failures.
