The seller did not send me any counteroffer at all. When I sent my offer of $225, I also sent a message to the seller that a red refractor recently sold for $225. Perhaps the seller was happy to get anything more than $225. I was willing to spend up to $250-275 if we had gone into negotiations. Oh well, too late now..
